Free & Low-Cost Things to Do When in Las Vegas for Your Trade Show

If you’re gearing up for International Vision Expo West, Pack Expo International, or SEMA 2017 in Las Vegas, here are a few interesting things to do while in the city that are free or budget-friendly:

Free Things to Do Indoors

-Have your picture taken with a $1 Million Dollar Display at Binion’s Gambling Hall & Hotel on Fremont Street.

-Get your chocolate fix at the 28,000-square-foot M&M’s® World Las Vegas. Try some fun interactive activities or watch the free 3-D movie, “I Lost My ‘M’ in Las Vegas”.

-Visit the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop made famous in the popular television show, Pawn Stars. Located on Las Vegas Boulevard, the shop is open daily. If you have a longer break from your trade show, visit owner Rick Harrison’s cool new Pawn Plaza next door as well.

Free Things to Do Outdoors

-Take a walk through the Flamingo’s Wildlife Habitat on Las Vegas Boulevard. This lush green area is a small haven in the city for flamingos, ducks, turtles and other wildlife. It features trees, waterfalls, and walking paths, and it is family-friendly.

-If you want to get a bit more off the beaten path, take a scenic 13-mile drive through the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. There are stops along the drive where you can get out and walk around or hike on trails.

-Visit Lake Las Vegas, a 320-acre lake surrounded by mountains that’s only a half-hour from the strip. Feeling adventurous? Rent a paddleboard by the hour.

Inexpensive Things to Do

-For around $20 per person, you can learn everything you ever wanted to know about American gangsters and more at the Mob Museum.

-Get a breathtaking 360-degree view of the city from the top of the Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas Hotel. The trip to the top of this half-size replica of the real tower in Paris costs under $20.

-If your trade show experience has left you wanting to do something really daring, try zip lining more than 100 feet above Fremont Street after being launched from Slotzilla, a giant slot machine. Costs start around $25.
